Daniel Rogers
Daniel (going by the hacker alias "bodhi.root") is brother to David Rogers (the benevolent sysadmin for this Wiki and famed research scientist). He doesn't know much of anything about chemistry or biology so don't even think about asking. Instead he is a software engineer who specializes in Java and Python development. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree at the College of Business with a focus in Finance and Management. He likes fine wine, Arturo Fuente cigars, and money.

Research Interests
- History and Politics.
- It is only recently that I have discovered how much I don't know about the world. Basic things like "who is in charge here?", "what's going on in the world?", "how did we get here?". I'm beginning to realize that there is a very rich history of people fighting for their rights against various forms of oppression, that our country is selling its birth-right as a golden example of human freedom and accomplishment, that there are very powerful people who impact our world - about which most people know very little. I want to know more.
- Conspiracy Theories (aka Unofficial History)
- JFK, 9/11, various activities of the CIA (MKULTRA, COINTELPRO, drug smuggling, assassinations)
- The role of "Economic Hitmen" who silently wage a war of economics and finance around the globe

- Finance and Economics
- If economics were employed successfully to promote human welfare almost every war and conflict would come to an end. Bringing people out of poverty and increasing productivity and standards of living is essential to the survival of our species.
- Understanding the stock market is also a good way to make some cash
- Computers
- Computer automation
- Mass data repositories (ala "Star Trek")
- Number Theory
- Riemann's Hypothesis
- Representations of continuously changing systems (understanding the value of "e" and maybe "pi" is central to this)
- Computer Simulations (computers can oftentimes be more powerful than equations)

- "I am rarely happier than when spending an entire day programming my computer to perform automatically a task that it would otherwise take me a good ten seconds to do by hand." - Douglas Adams
- "I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by." - Douglas Adams
- "Thus shall ye think of all this fleeting world: A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream; A flash of lightening in a summer cloud, A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream." - Buddha
- "What shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world and lose his soul?" - Jesus
